Saber Interactive was founded in 2001 and has since grown into one of the world's largest video game developers, with offices across the globe.

Even if you're not deeply familiar with the gaming industry, you've likely heard of some of our projects: Space Marine 2, Jurassic Park: Survival, World War Z, SnowRunner, Quake Champions, and the Halo series.

We are currently working on several ambitious AAA projects and are looking for Principal Designer for 3C.

Responsibilities

  • Developing camera, character and control mechanics that clearly convey the game’s creative direction and support the player fantasy
  • Creating a tight gameplay experience through strong moment-to-moment play, tension, and meaningful player choices
  • Development, implementation, and balance of gameplay systems, including tuning based on playtests
  • Working closely with programmers, sound engineers, VFX artists, and animators to deliver tight controls, responsive game experience, and high-quality moment-to-moment gameplay

Requirements

  • 3+ years in game design for PC/console, with at least 1 shipped title in a senior designer role;
  • Proven ownership of 3c systems from concept to live tuning. Preferably in first person games;
  • Confident in using engine tools and scripting (Unreal) to prototype, iterate and debug gameplay features hands-on;
  • Data- and playtest-driven: able to define KPIs, read telemetry, and turn feedback into concrete balance and design changes;
  • Enjoy building grounded, tense, high-lethality gameplay where positioning, information, and preparation matter more than pure stats.
