Responsibilities

  • Design and develop gameplay (combat/encounter), from concept to implementation;
  • Prototype gameplay, game mechanics, and systems;
  • Balance the combat system's difficulty, and drive its evolution and improvement;
  • Blueprints & behavior tree scripting for developing and configuring game systems;
  • Write design documentation;
  • Collaborate with the game design, animation, VFX, and other teams.

Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of the gaming industry and extensive experience playing shooters (PvP/PvE);
  • 3+ years of experience in PC/console game development, with at least one shipped title;
  • Experience working with combat and gameplay systems (battles, weapons, AI, abilities, character stats, game modes, level design) from concept to final tuning;
  • Proficiency with game engine tools and scripting (Unreal Engine 5);
  • Proficiency in Russian (for communication with an Russian-speaking team);
  • A passion for creating realistic, tense gameplay where positioning, information, and preparation are more important than raw stats.
